Alix Dobkin, a Lesbian folk singer, educator, and writer, will speak in Manhattan on April 27 and 28th, 2001.

Take Back the Night March
Keynote Speaker
Friday, April 27, 2001
The march begins at 7:00 pm at the Union Plaza and Alix will speak at the end of the march at 8:30 pm at the City Park Arts Pavilion in Manhattan. (Alix will not be singing at this time.)

Magical History Tour
Saturday, April 28, 2001, 7:00 pm
KSU Little Theatre (in the K-State Student Union)

Alix's presentation will include a talk illustrated by singing. She will informally discuss growing up as a woman and Lesbian in the early 60's, 70's, 80's. Alix will also discuss the difference between Gay and Lesbian culture.

Alix's participation in these events is sponsored by Brenda S. Hanger. It is free of charge and is open to the GLBT community, their families, friends, and allies. It is also informal, so you will be able to ask questions and speak with Alix during the evening. The event is in KSU's Little Theatre, which has been remodeled (no more auditorium chairs!). So, bring blankets or small lawn chairs if you like.
