KSU’s BGLS to Host P-FLAG Youth Conference on May 31

KSU’s Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian Society (BGLS) will host a P-FLAG-sponsored conference on May 31, 1997, in the K-State Union. The conference, which targets college students and high school seniors, tentatively features such speakers as Phillip Sherman, executive director of Uncommon Heroes, and Bob Bernstein, author of Straight Parents: Gay Children. Workshop topics will center around issues with affect lesbigays in the targeted area. All are invited and encouraged to attend. A more detailed agenda will appear in next month’s Observer.

Part of the conference will include displays and booths by people in the Manhattan and Kansas area. If you are interesting in putting up a display of artwork or crafts for viewing or for selling, please contact Chris as soon as possible to secure a table.
