Chastity Bono to Speak in Topeka

The Kansas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (K-NASW) is proud to announce a September Conference entitled Diversity ‘98. This year's conference will focus on gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered issues. The all-day conference in Topeka will involve workshops on various topics and will include special guest luncheon speaker, Chastity Bono.

Chastity is Entertainment Media Director for Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), a national organization that promotes fair, accurate and inclusive representation as a means of challenging discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity. Chastity is excited about coming to Kansas and sharing her ideas, thoughts and experiences with conference attendees. In addition, Chastity will be available throughout the day for networking and will be available for your questions or comments during the conference. K-NASW is pleased to be able to offer this conference and offer the participants a safe place to explore issues, meet friends, network and get connected. Please mark your calendar for September 25, 1998. More information regarding content, site and cost of the conference will follow.  If you have questions, please contact conference coordinator, Brenda S. Hanger, LSCSW at 785 776-3141.
