Candace Gingrich, Human Rights Campaign Fund, Washington, DC
Thursday,  Feb 4   7:00 pm

Our FHA meeting for February was cancelled so that we could hear Candace Gingrich speak at the KSU Union.

Read the write-up on the Candace Gingrich visit.

Town Meeting, Manhattan
Thursday, March 4   7:30 pm

Our speakers for March cancelled at the last minute so we decided to have a "coffee talk" town meeting to brainstorm ideas and discuss the future of FHA.

Christine Robinson, Lawrence
Wednesday, March 31    7:30 pm

Christine Robinson, a PhD student in sociology at KU, will talk about domestic partner benefits and sexual orientation policy issues on college campuses. Christine has conducted many workshops that help people to their colleges and universities to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in their anti-discrimination policies. Although Chris' policy work has been directly related to higher education rather than city legislation, the principles, claims Chris, are the same.

Come join us as we dialogue with Chris on ways to gain equal rights at KSU
and in Mahattan.

Stanley Conkwright, Riley County Police Department, Manhattan
Thursday,  May 6   7:30 pm

Stanley Conkwright will speak to us about ways we can make ourselves and our homes safer.
